PURPOSE:To enable the adjustment of a negative pressure of a slider by having a synthetic resin filling a through hole provided on the surface of a negative pressure slider to make an adjusting part while a pinhole is provided as required. CONSTITUTION:A slider is made up of a front slider surface 2 for generating a positive pressure, a negative pressure slider surface 3 for applying a negative pressure and a thin film head 5 and the floating height is determined by the balance between the positive and negative pressures depending on the width (w) of the front slider surface and the working depth (t) of the negative pressure slider surface. The negative pressure slider section 3 is provided with a pinhole 11 as outflow hole of air to increase negative pressure as required in an adjusting section 10 filled with a synthetic resin. Thus, the arrangement of the adjusting section 10 enables the balancing between the positive and negative pressures to achieve the uniformization of quality and a fine adjustment. |
