PURPOSE:To obtain easily a single resonance mode operation by selecting the rotary angle of the rotation X plate around the Y and Z axes in a prescribed range, selecting the lengthwise direction of the X plate from the Y axis after selection and selecting the ratio of the thickness of the rotation X plate to the length of the driving electrode to a specific value or below. CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing the oscillator of the piezoelectric strip type using the rotation X plate made of LiTaO3 piezoelectric single crystal, the rotation angle of the rotation X plate around the Y and Z axes is selected in the range within + or -10 deg.. Then, the lengthwise direction of the rotation X plate is selected in the range of -48+ or -4 deg. from the Y axis after the rotary angle is selected, and the ratio l/H of the length l of the driving electrode to the thickness lof the rotation X plate is selected as <=3.8. Through the construction above, the primary temperature coefficient is made to zero and also the secondary temperature coefficient is minimized. |
