Cellular mortar which has a high mechanical strength and sound and thermal insulation coefficient, consisting in preparing a mixture of cement and water in order to obtain a thick slurry to which is added foam obtained by mixing air with an aqueous solution consisting of water and of a polyvalent emulsifier according to the invention.
