PURPOSE:To reduce the crosstalk by controlling the optical axis of an optical pickup to set it vertical to the recording surface of an optical disk after detecting the tilt of said recording surface with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:An optical pickup 11 is guided centering on the focus position F of an objective lens 7 of the pickup 11 and in response to the detection signal of the radial skew angle of a disk 8 sent from a photodetector 15. Then the pickup 11 is totally driven by a driving means with free oscillation within a prescribed surface. Thus the optical axis OA of the pickup 11 is set vertical to the recording surface of the disk 8. In such a way, the detector 15 which detects the tilt of the disk 8 interlocks the lens 7 and therefore the detection output of the detector 15 is never affected by the shift of the lens 7 due to the tracking and focus servo mechanisms. |
