<p>PURPOSE:To continuously increase a rate of increasing the brake torque of a front brake and obtain the optimum distribution of brake power in front and rear wheels so as to surely prevent a rear wheel lock when a rapid brake is applied, by constituting a device so that the magnification of its power caused by the action of a lever increases as a piston in a front wheel cylinder forwardly moves. CONSTITUTION:A lever 17 is turnably mounted around a support point pin 16 serving as the center to the intermediate part of an adjusting lever 9, and one end part 17a of the lever 17 is adapted to a pressed surface 18 of a brake shoe 7 while the other end part 17b is adapted to a pressing surface 20 of a piston 19 in a wheel cylinder 5. As the piston 19 forwardly moves, a horizontal distance between the other end part 17b of the lever 17 and the support point poin 16 increases, causing the magnification of power to increase by the action of the lever 17. Accordingly, a rate of increase of the brake torque in a front brake is continuously increased for the hydraulic pressure of a master cylinder. While the brake power of a rear brake is linearly increased, thus obtaining the optimum distribution of the brake power in front and rear wheels.</p> |
