<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a melt-sprayed coating layer having high resistance to wear at a good yield with high productivity by heating uniformly the surface of a base material and melt-spraying Ni and Cr or material consisting essentially of these elements and Co on the surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a base material such as a stainless steel or the like is uniformly heated by high-frequency induction heating or the like. A melt- spraying material consisting of Ni and Cr or consisting essentially of these elements and Co and contg. B, Si, Fe, C, etc. as auxiliary components is melt- sprayed on the surface of the heated base material. The compsn. of the main components for said melt-spraying material consists preferably of 70.0-90.0wt% Ni, 10.0-30.0% Cr or 20.0-30.0% Ni, 15.0-25.0% Cr and 45.0-65.0% Co. The melt-spraying coating layer having high adhesion and resistance to wear with less holes is formed in a short time by the above-mentioned surface treating method.</p> |
