PURPOSE:To coat uniformly an adhesive agent on a desired area in a short time in an adhesive agent coater for mounting an IC, resistor, etc. to a lead frame, etc. by running a tape coated with the adhesive agent on one surface oppositely to an object to be coated and driving selectively a desired hammer thereby pressing the tape to said object. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive agent 23 is coated on one main surface 22 of a tap 21, which is wound around an unwinding roller constituting a part of a traveling mechanism 25 and is run in the direction of an arrow 26 by a winding roller. The agent 23 faces a substrate as an object 6 to be coated. The tape 21 and hammers 34 are thereupon positioned in the intended adhering part of the substrate 6. When only the preset hammer among the plural hammers 34 is driven, the tape 21 is pressed like an alternate long and short dash line to the object 6 by descending of the prescribed hammer 34 and the adhesive agent is coated thereon.
