PURPOSE:To reduce the size of drive means of a shaft generating motor by mounting an induction motor on a rotational shaft of the motor, and driving the motor by a firing angle control of a thyristor at the time point when the rotating speed of the motor becomes the prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:When a main engine 1 is stopped, a propeller shaft 2 is driven by a shaft generating motor by first disengaging a clutch 3 and separating the shaft 2 from the engine 1. Then, a starter 8 is operated, and an induction motor 6 is started. When the rotating speed of the motor 4 reaches the prescribed value, the motor 6 is stopped, and the prescribed firing angle is applied to a thyristor inverter 7. Thus, the motor 4 continuously rotates at the speed corresponding to the maximum output, and then the shaft 2 is rotated through an accelerator 5 by the motor 4. |
