PURPOSE:To realize backup of a retrieved data easily without expansion by storing picture information and its retrieved data to the 1st storage medium, storing the retrieved data in the 2nd storage medium and storing the retrieved data in the 1st storage medium into the 2nd storage medium after an error is restored if the error of the 2nd storage medium takes place. CONSTITUTION:If no retrieval is attained because of a failure of a magnetic disc 28 at the retrieval, a CPU12 discriminates it as a failure, a data is read in order from the head address by using an optical disc device 22, that is, the retrieved data is read one by one item and stored in an RAM18. The failure of the magnetic disc 28 is restored, for example, a new magnetic disc 28 is loaded to a magnetic disc device 27. Thus, the CPU12 reads sequentially the retrieved data of the optical disc 19 by using the optical disc device 22, the read retrieved data is stored in a retrieved data storage area 28a on the new magnetic disc 28 by using the magnetic disc device 27 to recover the function. |
