In a plastic housing for holding telecommunications connecting strips and distribution strips, consisting of a base plate and a covering cap which can be connected to the base plate, square attachment holds being provided in the base plate for retaining especially self-tapping attachment screws of connecting strips, in order to permit a variable arrangement of connecting strips and distribution strips with a low manufacturing cost, it is proposed that the attachment holes (5) be arranged in the form of a grid in a multiplicity of rows running at right angles and parallel to one another, the base plate area being virtually completely occupied by holes (5), and the corresponding peripheral edges of the holes (5) of one row being formed in each case running in an aligned manner and forming a continuous web (3, 4). <IMAGE>
