In a magneto-dynamic sound transmitter, a diaphragm (11) is actuated by a magneto-dynamic drive device (20, 21, 22) to produce a periodic vibration of the diaphragm. This is achieved with the aid of a magnetic field which is generated by the drive device and which rotates in relation to the diaphragm. The diaphragm forms one wall of a pressure chamber (13) connected to an acoustic horn (17). The pressure chamber is disposed at the periphery of the drive device so that it is periodically contracted and expanded by the magnetic field which radially actuates the wall. <IMAGE> |
