PURPOSE:To make it possible to set the oscillation time of a magnetron corresponding to the amount of a cooking material for a menu by a method wherein person number display keys are provided on an operating panel and the amount of the cooking material corresponding to the number of persons is visually displayed to the user. CONSTITUTION:When a cooking menu selecting key 12 is pressed, a microcomputer displays on a display board 11 the number of persons for whom cooking is to be prepared. Then, when, after the confirmation of the person number displayed on the display board 11, the user pushes a person number display key 13 corresponding to the displayed number of persons, the amount of the cooking material required for that number of persons is calculated by the microcomputer in which the names of various cooking materials and the amount of each material per person are stored and the calculated amount is displayed on the display board 11. Further, when the user pushes a display switching key 14, the microcomputer displays on the display board 11 the name of another material and the amount thereof corresponding to the number of persons. Thus, upon termination of display of the amount of material, the microcomputer gives the user a cooking start command and sets a cooking time, a cooking temperature, a cooking output and the like corresponding to the amount of the material covering the number of persons. Therefore, when a cooking start key 15 is pressed, cooking is started and after a lapse of the set cooking time, the cooking of the material is finished. |
