发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER TYPE PRINTER
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent an ink ribbon from being needlessly fed and enable to print in both directions, by a method wherein a pulse motor is used as a drive source for feeding an ink ribbon, and an energizing phase of the pulse motor is changed over at least once each time a recording head is driven to generate heat. CONSTITUTION:A driving roller 12 and guide rollers 131, 132 are provided in an ink ribbon cassette 11, a rubber belt 14 is engaged to the rollers, and is pressed against a ribbon-supplying roller 151 and a ribbon take-up roller 152 to positively rotate the latter. The pulse motor 10 is provided on a cassette-supporting base 6 on a carriage to drive a cassette-driving shaft 18. A unipolar-type pulse motor or a bipolar-type pulse motor having a plurality of energizing phases is used as the pulse motor 10, and the energizing phase thereof is changed over at least once each time the recording head 3 is driven to generate heat, thereby driving the motor 10 and feeding the ink ribbon 5.
