In a pipe connection for large pipes which are to be laid using the rough-pressing method, have no collar, have reinforced walls and consist especially of stoneware, the tips (which abut in front of one another) of the pipes to be connected are reduced in diameter and the reduced tip ends are covered by means of a slip-over collar whose maximum size is less than the external diameter of the pipes to be connected. In addition, at least one profiled ring consisting of a deformable resistant material is inserted as a waterproof connection between the reduced ends of each pipe and the slip-over collar.
