The invention relates to a new process for producing leather fibre fabrics in the form of raw material and semi-leather cloths manufactured by this process, in which some waste wool and other unnecessary fragments of animal leather produced subsequent to cutting or scraping processes of the leather, are cut to a very short length in the dry state and then dissolved in water, after which they are redried to form small leather pieces. These pieces are sorted selectively by filters and placed uniformly on the outer surface region of a suitable backing clothing cloth. The invention relates further to the manufacture of semi-leather cloth products manufactured according to this process and which are far superior in terms of heat resistance, moisture absorption and release properties to the conventional semi-leather cloth products currently on the market.
