PURPOSE:In a measurement of concentration of nitrous acid ions by means of ion-chromatographic method, to measure the concentration of nitrous acid ions accurately, by adding silver acetate as a preliminary process and removing selectively chlorine ions as disturbing ions with a high efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The figures represent chromatograms of non-processing aspect of sample liquid in which chlorine ions and nitrous acid ions are existing in common and aspects after each individual silver solution process. Fig. A represents a non-processing aspect, Fig. B aspect of silver nitrate solution process, Fig. C silver nitrate process aspect and Fig. D silver acetate process aspect. In case of silver nitrate and silver sulphate processes, when it is desirous of simultaneous analysis of NO3<-> or SO4<2-> other than nitrous acid ions, deterioration of analysis accuracy cannot be avoided. Further, addition of NO3<-> or SO4<2-> of long elution time causes elongation of analysis time of NO<2->. By the silver solution process using silver acetate enables removal of defect fount in silver nitrate and silver sulphate processes. |
