PURPOSE:To increase the degrees of freedom in cutting without any suction device by preventing a back face ignition by increasing the flow velocity of the assisting gas at the back face through which the cut hole is passes to more than the specified value in case of cutting with irradiating a laser beam on a synthetic resin material. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin material W is heated and cut with melting with irradiating a laser beam Y thereon. In this case, the assisting gas G composed of inert gas of argon gas, nitrogen gas, carbon dioxide gas, etc. is blown on the cutting material W from an irradiating nozzle and the flow velocity at the back face side through which the cut hole Wb passed is made more than 40m/sec. In such case, the cut product M does not reach to the ignition point with the temp. rise of the assisting gas Ga being checked and the generation of inflammation and firing is prevented and the external appearance of the back face of the body to be worked is bettered. The degrees of freedom in cutting position are increased due to the conventional suction device being disused. |
