PURPOSE:To obtain a vibration damping device for enhancing the degree of cutting accuracy, by constantly maintaining the angles of saw blades in a multi- blade type circular saw cutter. CONSTITUTION:A cutter 3 cuts a work material 1 while rotating the latter. There is laid a vibration damping device 7 provided with a plurality of vibration damping members 6, 6... positioned upstream of the cutting position, for respectively holding both sides of a plurality of circular saw blades 4, 4..., which are fixed onto a rotary shaft 5 at predetermined intervals and have an equal diameter. Further, each vibration damping member 6 is suspended from a base member and is provided with a stationary holding pipe integral therewith and a movable holding piece which may move toward the rotary shaft 5 of the blade saws 4. Further, there are provided ridges obliquely crossing at a slightly wide angle with respect to the movable direction of the movable blades, and as well, there are provided sliding shafts for sliding members which may move along the side surfaces of the saw blades 4. With this arrangement, there may be provided a vibration damping device which enhances the degree of cutting accuracy. |
