PURPOSE:To prevent mis-identification of the generation of a failure by attaining the identification in either a communication device or a transmission line a cause to the failure detected by a supervising device exists in a data exchange having the supervising device. CONSTITUTION:The data exchange 3 confirms that failure information transmitted by the request of the supervising device 4 is received by the supervising device 4 after the operation is stopped and then repaired. Further, the identical failure information is not transmitted to the supervising device 4 again so as to prevent the supervising device 4 from identifying in error as a failure of the data exchange 3 because of receiving again of the failure information transmitted already from the data exchange 3 when a failure occurs in the transmission line. |
