<p>PURPOSE:To clearly divide paper sheets stored in respective trays from each other by providing a sorter for a copying machine or the like with a mechanism for moving one of adjacent trays to the other tray. CONSTITUTION:Copy sheets are transported along a paper transport path 1 to be stored in an arbitray trays 2 (21, 24) and arranged in order of pages. In case of taking out a copy sheet A from the tray 2, eccentric cams 4 of vertical shafts 3 are turned in a 180 deg. arc by a motor 6 so that the first and third trays 21, 23 are shifted to the left for the eccentricity, and the end surfaces 2c thereof are shifted from the end surfaces of the second and fourth trays 22, 24 for a fixed distance. Thus, in case of taking out copy sheets respectively stored in a plurality of trays at one time, the trays can get out of position to clearly divide the copy sheets stored in the respective trays from each other.</p> |
