The mechanical striker 8 is equipped with a blocking mechanism 4, 5, the release of which takes place by means of a mechanical retarder 3. The latter is associated with a safety device formed by a rod 11, the upper end of which penetrates into the rotary drum of the retarder 3 and the lower end of which bears on a spring 16. At the moment when the parachute of the bomb opens, the rod 11 is displaced downwards counter to the spring, frees the drum and allows the start of the time delay, at the end of which the blocking mechanism 4, 5 is released, this mechanism being formed from a movable cylinder 4 associated with the retarder 3 and from a stationary cylinder 5, said cylinders being equipped with crenellations on their mutually confronting faces. <IMAGE>
