METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DISCONNECTION OF POWER SUPPLY

PURPOSE:To prevent unmeasurable system down in the control of disconnection of power supply to an information processing system by preventing power supply to each device from being disconnected when the system is not stopped status even if a power supply disconnection switch is turned on in error. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply connecting switch 13 in a centralized monitoring device 11 is turned on, a power supply control part 12 sends signals indicating power supply connection to respective devices successively through a power supply control line 16. Each device closes a built-in electromagnetic switch on the basis of the sent signal to supply commercial power supply on a power supply line 17 to a power supply part of the device itself. When a power supply disconnection switch 14 is turned on, the power supply control part 12 sends signals indicating power supply disconnection successively to respective devices through the power supply control line 14 while referring a signal on a stop status information line 15 if the system is in the stopped status and the respective devices open the electromagnetic switches to disconnect power supply.
