It is intended to lock a reliable screw connection against self-acting release of the screw/nut, against being lost and against subsiding through the locking elements. The locking elements have the object of counteracting the mechanism of self-acting release of the screw/nut and the unavoidable subsidence of the screw connection, especially during dynamic stressing at right angles to the screw axis. The coupling parts which are used for positively-locking locking of the screw/nut of a screw connection can largely fulfil this object. The screw connection can hence not only be locked against self-acting release of the screw/nut, against being lost and against subsiding, but, as a result of the use of plastic parts, it also damps vibration, forms a seal and is protected against corrosion. The relative oscillation movements between the braced parts are limited by the fitting sleeve and are largely absorbed by said sleeve. The screw is then subject to less stress, so that fatigue fracture of the screw can largely be prevented in this way. The coupling parts are reusable and, to a large extent, can be used independently of the installation position.
