PURPOSE:To obtain a display panel incorporating type switch with simple construction by providing a metallic electrode around a display panel and using it as a touch plate so as to detect the touch of a human body or approach of it to the metallic electrode by a detecting circuit and display an input instruction. CONSTITUTION:The switch 2 of a display panel incorporating type switch 1 is constituted by a switch display panel 3 displaying the input instruction and an input electrode 4 provided around the panel 3. A switch display circuit 7 is connected to the panel 3 so as to display the input instruction assigned by an instruction 6 from a control circuit 5 controlling the entire system. Further, the detecting circuit 9 is connected to the input electrode 4 and the circuit 9 detects that a human body has touched the input electrode 4 or approached it, and the result is applied to the control circuit 5. Then, the input instruction is displayed on the panel 3 and the switch 1 having simple construction and high reliability is constituted. |
