MANUFACTURE OF POSITIVE POLE ACTIVE SUBSTANCE FOR ORGANIC ELECTROLYTE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To obtain an active substance chalco-pyrite giving a good battery characteristic by removing free sulphur by heating chalco-pyrites in an inactive gas flow up to the specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:The adsorbed free sulphur is removed by using inactive gas such as nitric gas or the like as a ventilation medium while heating chalco-pyrites at 150-450 deg.C. For instance, CuFeS2 is composed by mixing the cuprous sulfide Cu2S and the ferric sulfide FeS2 in the mol ratio of 1:2 and heating up to 600- 750 deg.C while using nitric gas or inactive gas as a ventilation medium. Thereby, free sulphur remains in the generated chalco-pyrite. This is powdered and left as it is in an argon flow at 300 deg.C for 3hr followed by cooling for obtaining an active substance deprived of free sulphur.
