The invention relates to a fastening device of a bracelet 12 on the housing 1 of a wristwatch. The device has two connecting pieces 2, which are fixed on the housing and in each case have a recess 6 for fastening a free end of the bracelet 12. The free end of the bracelet 12 is to be arranged in the recess 6 extending in the longitudinal direction of the bracelet 12. The recess 6 consists of a lead-through opening 7 more remote from the housing 1 for leading the bracelet 12 through, and of a retaining opening 8 nearer to the housing 1. A bulge 13 of larger cross-section than the lead-through 7 and formed on the free end of the bracelet 12 can be accommodated in the retaining opening 8. <IMAGE>
