摘要 PURPOSE:The slurry resulting from polymerization of an olefin in liquid butane under pressure is introduced into an evaporator where the solvent and unreacting monomer are separated by evaporation under pressure lower than in the polymerizer and at a specific flash ratio to produce the titled polymer, preventing the plymer from deteriorating in powder properites. CONSTITUTION:An olefin is polymerizaed in liquid butane under pressure and the resultant polyolefin slurry is sent through pipe 2 into the evaporator 1, a fluidizinggas is fed through a gas-distribution plate 3 into the evaporator 1 to form a fluid layer composed of the polyolefin separated in the evaporator 1. Further, the pressure is kept lower than in the polymerizer and the flash ratio of the polyolefin slurry is set to less than 45% in the evaporator 1 to vaporize the butane and unreacting olefin and exclude then from the pipe 7. In the meantime, the separated polymer is taken out of the pipe 6, whereby the objective polymer is obtained.
