PURPOSE:To freely change the thickness of a solution applied onto a workpiece to be coated, while eliminating the wasteful consumption of said solution, by fixing the workpiece to be coated onto a mounting stand, bringing a solution ejector and a solution applicator close to the workpiece to be coated, and performing the application while controlling an amount of ejection. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece P to be coated is mounted and fixed onto the predetermined position of a mounting stand 3. Then, a mechanism B for the application of a solution is moved toward the mounting stand 3 by the operation of a driving means 2. A solution ejector part 6 and a solution applicator part 5 made into a unitary body with each other are lowered toward the workpiece P to be coated by the operation of a driving means 16, until a distance between the applicator body 10 and the workpiece P to be coated is held at a predetermined value. A solution is sprayed from the ejector part 15 through a nozzle 34 onto the surface of the workpiece P to be coated, an amount of ejection is regulated by a solenoid valve 31, and the nozzle 34 is moved by a driving means 12 to eject the solution over the entire length of the workpiece P to be coated. The applicator body 10 is rotated by the operation of a driving means 9, and the mounting stand 3 is rotated about a rotary shaft 2, so as to uniformly apply the solution onto the entire body of the workpiece P to be coated.
