PURPOSE:To prevent incorrect cutting by furnishing an image sensor, having light source, in contact with the splash guide of a band steel processing line. CONSTITUTION:Splash produced on the outgoing side of a side trimmer 2 is guided by a splash guide 16. A light source 18 is installed on one of the sides of this splash guide 16 while an image sensor 20 on the other side. The image sensor 20 is in communication with a signal processor 22 which makes waveform shaping for the output therefrom. This processor 22 is connected with an alarm 24. Interruption of splash production will yield an output waveform near saturation, as the beam is not blocked at all, to cause actuation of the alarm 24 to emit alarm. |
