<p>PURPOSE:To easily adsorb and separate high purity ethylene from ethylene-containing gaseous mixture, by using a solid adsorbent consisting of silver halide, aluminum halide and a crosslinked polystyrene resin. CONSTITUTION:A polystyrene resin and a crosslinked polystyrene resin are heated along with silver halide and aluminum halide under stirring in a solvent and the solvent is removed to obtain a solid adsorbent. This adsorbent is used an ethylene adsorbing or releasing apparatus due to a packed tower and a fluidized system to adsorb and separate ethylene from an ethylene-containing gaseous mixture. By this method, high purity ethylene containing no CO can be adsorbed and separated.</p> |
