<p>PURPOSE:To produce a tissue culture product containing a large amount of the same drug component as natural Panax ginseng, in high yield, by culturing a tissue culture product of Panax ginseng in an Ms medium having modified carbon source and modified nitrogen source. CONSTITUTION:A tissue culture product of Panax ginseng is cultured in an MS medium (having a sucrose concentration of preferably about 1-3%) containing preferably about 0.2-0.8wt% of glucose and essentially devoid of ammonium nitrate. Preferably, the medium is replenished with about 1-3.5wt% of sucrose after about 10-20 days from the start of cultivation to improve the efficiency.</p> |
