PURPOSE:To omit an off-line job by providing plural sets of storage devices exchangeable externally, storing separately information desired for single replacement and realizing the replacement of the information through the replacement of an external storage device. CONSTITUTION:Hardware 1 consists of an external storage device and the entire system is controlled by an operating system 2. The external storage device 1 consists of floppy discs 13, 14, and a program 6 is stored in the disc 13 and a data 8 is stored in the disc 14. Thus, data storage from a main memory 12 to the disc 14 and restart processing after program file replacement only are required for the file replacing procedure, allowing to omit the off-line job. |
