PURPOSE:To enable to perform continuous operation in a stable condition through uniform feed of coal to the inside of a fluidized bed even in case one system of plural system-mills connected to coal feed pipes is brought to a stop, by a method wherein the coal feed pipes are alternately arranged at each combustion feed system. CONSTITUTION:From main pipes 8A and 8B of mills 9A and 9B, respectively, a plurality of coal feed pipes 6A and 6B are branched, and the branch pipes 6A and 6B are disposed so as to be alternately open to the plane surface of a dispersion plate 2 located at the lower part of a fluidized bed. In this constitution, even if either the mills 9A or 9B is brought to a stop due to failure in operation, and either the main pipes 8A or 8B is closed off, since the branch pipes 6A and 6B are both so arranged as to allow uniform dispersion of fuel toward the dispersion plate 2, there is no biased feeding in feed of fuel to a fluidized bed 3, and this prevents partial stop of combustion of the fluidized bed, permits improvement of the combustion efficiency through effective utilization of the entire fluidized bed, and allows continuous stable combustion of the whole fluidized bed. |
