The invention relates to a mast foot for windsurfing boards which connects the mast to a joint fastened to the surfboard or the mast to the surfboard and in which a gap is created between the deck surface and the mast by exceptional bending forces, occurring when body parts are jammed between mast and deck, with the consequence of defined buckling or deflection above the joint at a predetermined buckling point with preferably adjustable spring preloading or at a predetermined bending point in the form of an elastic segment to avoid injuries to the jammed body part.
