Cleaning machine

A cleaning machine for mats and the like, especially car floor mats, has an upper and a lower rotating brush (7, 8), between which the mat is introduced and an upper and lower expressing roller (9, 10) in the outlet region. To produce a machine which is of simple structure and reliable operation, a plurality of driven upper and lower belts (3, 6) running via belt pulleys (1, 2; 4, 5) are provided between the inlet of the machine and the expressing rollers (9, 10) in the outlet of the machine, to guide the mat in an essentially straight line from the inlet, between the brushes (7, 8), through to the expressing rollers (9, 10) and to the outlet. <IMAGE>
