PURPOSE:To effectively carry out the reduction process at a low cost, by a method wherein the molten steel processed with a fixed decarburization in a carburization furnace is transferred into a ladle and mechanically agitated by adding reducing agent and slagging agent. CONSTITUTION:When the molten steel containing chromium is decarburized to a fixed carbon content in AOD furnace 3, immediatedly the molten steel is tapped into a ladle 2, an immpellar being inserted and rotated, and required reducing agent (Fe-Si on the like) and slagging agent (CaO, CaF2 on the like) all added thereto. The reduction and desulfurization are carried out by mechanically agitating it while injecting argon gas. Thus, the additional amount of the reduction agent and slagging agent are decreased and thermal loss is reduced. |
