PURPOSE:To avoid abnormal rise or fall of the idling speed likely to occur when any discontinuity is repaired, by interrupting feedback control of the idling speed in the uncontrollable period of a control valve. CONSTITUTION:The revolving speed of an engine is controlled by the section area of a by-pass. At Step 78, it shall be judged whether the ISC valve discontinuity plug Fd = 1. If Fd = 1, the processes at Steps 82, 88 are omitted, and the integral term Di is fixed, and the study value Dg is not updated. The proportional term Dp and anticipation term Dt are reflected upon the duty ratio D. When the discontinuity is recovered, the target idling speed is attained quickly. Thus abnormal rise or fall of the idling speed likely to occur when the discontinuity is repaired can be avoided. |
