PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce the installation cost by a structure wherein an axial flow fan is housed concentrically in a furnace top self-supporting type smoke stack and the front and rear ends of the casing of the axial flow fan are respectively connected to the inside surface of the stack by means of cone-shape ducts. CONSTITUTION:The front and rear ends of the casing 8 of an axial flow fan are respectively connected to the small diametral ends of cone-shape ducts 10 and 11 fixed to the inside surface of a stack 7 in order to hold the casing 8 to the inside surface of the stack by means of the ducts 10 and 11. In addition, an opening 15 is provided on the wall surface of the stack in order to enable to ventilate a compartment in the stack partitioned by the casing 8 and the ducts 10 and 11 with the outside air. Because the installation of the axial flow fan is done by connecting the cone-shape ducts to the inside surface of the stack, the necessity of new installation of a stage and the installation of a longer duct can be eliminated and consequently the reduction of installation cost can be enabled. |
