PURPOSE:To enable hot water to be supplied at a predetermined temperature even under a heavy load, by providing a water adjusting valve in a water passage, and controlling the water adjusting valve based on the difference between the predetermined temperature and the discharged hot water temperature at the time of maximum combustion, in a hot water supplying apparatus with a proportional combustion controller. CONSTITUTION:The discharging temperature of the hot water that has been heated in a heat exchanger 1 is detected by a temperature sensor 4. The detected temperature is compared with a predetermined temperature, and a motor and a proportional valve 6 are controlled by the output proportional to the thus obtained difference to control the quantity of combustion. Using as a reference the maximum capacity at which a blower 3 is at the maximum rotational frequency, the amount of heat of combustion is lowered when the combustion is carried out at or below the maximum capacity in such a way that the discharged hot water temperature is at the predetermined temperature, whereas the opening of the water adjusting valve 5 is throttled if the combustion is carried out above the maximum capacity. By controlling the water adjusting valve based on the difference in the discharged hot water temperature, hot water having a predetermined temperature can be obtained even if the load is increased. |
