PURPOSE:To obtain a relatively simple hollow metallic waveguide of high accuracy by concentrically placing a dielectric pipe of a larger diameter around a dielectric pipe having its hollow at the center and by filling the gap between the pipes with a metallic pipe. CONSTITUTION:A glass pipe 4 of a larger diameter is concentrically placed around a glass pipe 6, a metal 5 which is liq. at ordinary temp. such as Hg is charged into the gap between the pipes 4, 6, and both ends are sealed. A simple hollow metallic waveguide of high accuracy is obtd. |
