The invention relates to anti-theft device for luggage, making it possible to enclose a luggage item 7 placed on a luggage carrier 6 by means of a movable and articulated box. It comprises a support 1 fastened to the wall 2 and sides 9, 10, 13 fixed to one another and articulated by means of hinges 8. The fastening of the support 1 and of the hinges 8 is carried out so that the screws become inaccessible when the device is in operation. The locking of the box thus formed is ensured mainly by the incorporation of a removable personal lock cylinder fitting all anti-theft devices for luggage. Of the most pertinent uses of the invention, mention may be made of security within hotel rooms. <IMAGE>
