PURPOSE:To detect the fore end and the rear end of the belt-type article surely and stably in spite of the size of width of the belt-type article under conveyance by providing a conveyor belt with holes and providing photoelectric switches at positions above and below the belt. CONSTITUTION:The belt-type article 11 is guided by a transfer belt 18 and the conveyor belt 12 and is conveyed by disposing on the conveyor belt 12. When the belt-type article 11 passes the location of the photoelectric switches 13, the path of light beams of the photoelectric switches 13 are shielded and the fore end of the belt-type article 11 is detected by the photoelectric switches 13 since the belt-type article 11 closes a series of small holes 15 provided at the central part of the conveyor belt 12. When the rear end of the belt-type article 11 passes the location of the photoelectric switches, the path of the light beams is opened again and the photoelectric switches 13 are operated thereby detecting the rear end of the belt-type article 11. |
