PURPOSE:To shorten the donwtime of a doffer for receiving bobbins, and to decrease the probability to pass the doffer in front of the spindle to be doffed, by charging empty bobbins to an autodoffer when the number of empty bobbins on the doffer is decreased below a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:When the consumption of more than a specific number of bobbins 8 on the doffer 4 is detected by a counter, the lamps L1 and L2 are lighted. The light is detected by the phototubes PH 6, 7 when the doffer 4 reaches the bobbin-receiving position, and the doffer 4 is stopped to receive the bobbins. The rotary drum 49 is turned to face its opening 56 to the bobbin 8, and feed the doffer 4 with the bottin 8. When the bobbin 8 is detected by all of the phototubes 3, 4, 5 the lamps L1 and L2 are extinguished and the doffer 4 beins to travel again. |
