<p>A digital-display measuring apparatus is provided with a measuring element which is movably provided on a main body and which is adapted to come into contact with an object being measured, an encoder which converts a displacement quantity of the measuring element into electric signal pulses and outputs the pulses, a preset device which sets as a preset value a reference measurement corresponding to the object, a counter circuit which counts both the preset value and the electric signal pulses, and a digital display which digitally displays the measured value of the object on the basis of the count from the counter circuit. The preset device includes a preset switch which is operated when setting the preset value, and a preset memory in which any desired numerical value displayed on the digital display can be set as a preset value by the operation of the preset switch. Thus the measured value of the object obtained using the preset value as a reference is digitally displayed on the digital display. </p> |
