摘要 PURPOSE:To put a lens in focus smoothly and speedily by reading a torque value or torque corresponding value out of a read-only memory (EEPROM) which is electrically erasable or writable corresponding to a signal from a potentiometer. CONSTITUTION:The potentiometer 101 provided to a lens barrel part generates a signal corresponding to the kind or driving position of the photographic lens of an automatic focus adjusting camera. Further, the EEPROM 104 is stored with the torque value or torque corresponding value determined by the kind or driving position of the photographic lens. Then, a CPU 3 reads the torque value or torque corresponding value out of the EEPROM 104 corresponding to the signal from the potentiometer 101 and controls driving electric power so that a lens driving motor 7 is rotated relatively fast when the quantity of movement of the lens is larger than a prescribed value or slowly when the quantity of movement is smaller.
