The device for controlling the depth of implements and for guiding a farm machine consists of one or more detectors in the form of runners (16) sliding on the soil which are connected to a mobile support (10) arranged so that it is possible to move it both in a vertical plane and in a horizontal or lateral plane to the left or right with respect to the chassis of the machine.
