PURPOSE:The titled composition useful for obtaining an attractive molding excellent in surface smoothness and dimensional stability and free of scumming, containing an acrylate ester-containing crosslinked vinyl polymer as a shrinkage- reducing agent. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition is obtained by adding 0.1-35pts.wt. crosslinked vinyl polymer containing an acrylate ester component and crosslinked through this acrylate ester or through both the acrylate ester and a crosslinking agent (e.g., divinylbenzene) (e.g., a polymer crosslinked through both an acrylate ester and a crosslinking compound having at least two double bonds in the molecule) to 100pts.wt. unsaturated polyester. The monomer to be copolymerized with an acrylate ester for the production of the above crosslinked vinyl copolymer is selected from the group consisting of styrene, methyl methacrylate, ethyl methacrylate, and vinyl acetate.
