PURPOSE:To securely set three-point positions by opposing the rods of a pair of pistons which are being energized bya spring, to each other and connecting one end of each rod to an arm member provided in an integrated form with a rotary shaft which rotates a unit for the shifting operation of a transmission. CONSTITUTION:When single piston cylinders 2 are not fed with fluid, since the pressing forces of springs 8 against pistons 4 are equal, piston rods 5 are pulled to right and left with an equal force with their forces being balanced, and clevices 10, a pin 12, an arm member 14, a shifter rod 13, a head 15, and a shift fork 18 are brought in the neutral position, shifting a transmission to neutral. When fluid is fed to the right-hand cylinder 3, the right-hand piston and rod are moved leftward, the arm member 14 is rotated in the L direction, the shift fork 18 is positioned on left shifting the transmission to the first speed, while, when fluid is fed to the left-hand cylinder 3, the fork 18 is positioned on right shifting the transmission to the second speed.
