PURPOSE:The titled solid tire which has a high power of absorbing shock and vibration resulting from running through a tubular passage of steel, is prevented from peeling and damage of the bonded interfaces, and shows excellent durability and reduction in vibrational noise, prepared by forming the tread rubber from a specified compound and forming it into a specified geometry. CONSTITUTION:A tread rubber is formed from a composition prepared by mixing a rubber component composed of 100-75wt% natural rubber and 0-25wt% polybutadiene rubber with 20-60pts.wt. carbon black having a particle diameter of 250-70mmu. The obtained rubber is vulcanized and bonded to the external periphery of a base band 2, while the area 6 of the tread rubber in contact with ground is made planar and its thickness is made as high as 50-70mm.. Preferably, the titled solid tire is so constituted that, in the zone where the tread rubber contacts with the base band, the rubber tread rubber has a profile wherein a groove 7 continuous to a protrusion 8 toward the direction from the end of the base band to the shoulder of the tread.
