PURPOSE:To reduce working manhours and marking time, by emitting plane laser beams from the positions of a bow and a stern, and providing required measuring marks at the desired marking positions on the side wall surface of a hull by the plane of the laser beams, which correspond to the required marking positions on a scale. CONSTITUTION:A sight line 2 for ship's bottom is set by the following way so that keel blocks are avoided: laser light rays are emitted from a laser transit 3, which is provided at the position of a stern or a bow, in parallel with the central line of a hull at a place lower than the lower surface of the keel. A draft scale 12 is provided uprightly from the upper part of the hull 1 at a right angle with respect to the sight line 2 for the ship's bottom. A winch 9 is actuated and a movable table 6 is lifted. Laser light rays 13, which are in parallel with the sight line 2 for the bottom and have a plane shape, are emitted from a laser transit 7. When the plane of the light rays 13 agree with the specified marking positions of the scale 12, markings are attached to the intersections of the plane of the light rays with respect to the desired marking positions S1 and S2 by marking paint, tape, and the like, with a measuring line 14 having a required length (w) between the marking positions as a reference. |
